So much to celebrate at the 2022 Lough Derg FC Awards Night on 20th May. So much to be proud of on and off the pitch. Its wonderful to celebrate with our amazing members, families and supporters.

We celebrated coming through covid, and getting back stronger. We made our time out count earning Club Mark One Star and Club Mark to give us a great foundation to run our club. We celebrated our growing numbers - over 600 members, 30 squads and 60 volunteer coaches, as well as a hard-working volunteer committee. As we look forward to the new season, June's AGM will give you a chance to play your part in the running of our club for the benefit of our sporting community.

We celebrated the many great on-field achievements. Win, lose or draw we are proud of all our players and squads who play the game the way it should be played. We were proud too to recognize our most successful year ever in terms of titles and trophies won as well as a record number of 48 Derg players representing North Tipperary League or the Regional Centre of Excellence. We are a grassroots club and a player pathway serving the sporting needs of all of our community. We celebrated too the burgeoning number of females in our club and with adult male and female teams in place, the pathway is clear for both our girls and boys to enjoy a lifelong footballing relationship with Lough Derg FC.

With lots to be excited about on the pitch, we have plenty going on off the pitch too. We work hard and play hard and we are delighted to confirm the return of Tribe Trials - Obstacle Challenge on Sunday 4th September. This family-friendly community sports day offers something for everyone. Save the date and get family fit!

Its impossible to thank all the people who made the magic happen. On the night we had the amazing Peter Touhy on camera (all the nights photos on our Facebook page) and Ray Hickey on mic. We recognized the lifetime volunteer award to Carol Oakley, and marked the fantastic leadership of outgoing madame chair Elaine O'Connor We were delighted to have NTSFL coach Paul Hearty to present the many representative honours to Derg players. A massive Thank You to Grogans Pharmacy and Opticians for the generous sponsorship of the amazing trophies. Hundreds of them!

So many others played a part in making Awards Night memorable and this season our best one yet! Teamwork & Dream Work. That's where the magic is made.
The final Thank You is to the amazing players in our club from the youngest to the oldest who bring the passion, energy and skillage to our village, week in week out. Keep up the magic.
