FAI Club Mark One Star

Mark the Date to Celebrate – Friday 27th Clarisford Park from 3:30 pm

Great news – Lough Derg FC has been awarded the FAI Clubmark One Star certification, recognising the club for highest administrative standards and have reached the coaching standards to be designated as a Player Development Centre. Building on the Club Mark Entry Level we earned in 2020, we are delighted to be among only a handful of clubs in the country that have achieved this level of certification. This is a club wide effort – we’ve said it once or twice before - teamwork makes the dreamwork!

An FAI delegation will be in Clarisford at 4pm on this Friday to present the certification to the club. We are inviting all club members, volunteers and supporters to attend. And bring your boots!

We will celebrate by doing what we do best – having a community based gamed of football. Action gets underway with the academy sides providing the curtain raiser from 3:30. After the presentation the games will go on as we work up the age groups through schoolboy / schoolgirl, youths, juniors and coaches, supporters and golden oldies / former legends. Focus is on fun, participation, reacquainting with club mates after lockdowns and enjoying the beautiful game in the sun, in readiness for the new season which is almost upon us.

There will be refreshments on the day and a little birdy told me a coaches and volunteers evening out will follow. Happy days.
