At Lough Derg FC our goal is deliver a life long love of the game for all our members, whatever their level. We also want our teams and players to fulfill their potential, to be the best footballers they can be. No player should have to move sideways - to another amateur club, to further their development. We fully subscribe to the player development pathway and wish to see players reaching the standards to take the next step in the game - whether that's selection to an EPT squad, League Squad, Regional Squad, International Squad or moving into League of Ireland squads and perhaps ultimately into the full time professional game.

We are delighted to have entered an exclusive partnership with some of the elite coaching personnel from the mid-west to offer elite level additional coaching to ambitious players. Tommy Barrett, Jason O'Connor and Paul O'Donnell have elite level experience of coaching and playing the game professionally and at grassroots level. Their "Position Specific Coaching Programme" will enable ambitious young footballers to take their game in their position to the next level. The cost of this programme os €80 for an 8 week programme, running in Clarisford on Monday nights, commencing 28th September. Its targeted to those from u12 to u18, male and female. This might best suit players who are really committed to progressing at football and football is their primary sport.
