Saturday Summary

Plenty of good games played this weekend. No joy for 15A boys in the early kickoff going down 1-2 at home to Silvermines. 15Bs were awarded a walkover against Clodiagh Rangers.

13A girls put in an excellent performance against a strong Borrisokane side. Hannah O'Shaughnessy scored a cracker after 15 minutes. Derg went close a few times through Ruthie Hickey, Evie Green, Isobelle Larkin and Lauren Dowling but found the visiting keeper in top form. Borrisokane were dangerous throughout and the Derg defenders of Sara Lancaster, Sarah Purtill, Amie Lyons Riona Neill, Sophie O'Neill and Molly Hammond had to be on top of their game as Borrisokane fought hard for an equaliser. Derg keeper Ola was excellent throughout. As the clock approached fulltime the hard working Lauren Dowling secured the result with an excellent finish to make it 2-0. Well done squad.

U15 girls played out a 3-3 draw at home to Moneygall. Lots of u11 action too. In a cracking game in group 2 Derg scored a last minute equaliser to finish 3-3 v Ballymackey.

Next up in group 3 Derg and Knigh Utd finished 6-6. In group 1 the Derg boys went down 6-1 away to Nenagh. A big squad of u11 girls enjoyed a great game at home to a very strong BT Harps side.
