SATURDAY SUMMARY 11th JAN 20

Plenty of games went ahead today despite the weather. U13 Premier girls served up a feast of football away to league champions Holycross. A very competitive game finished scoreless and neither side could argue with a share of the spoils. Despite the lack of goals this was a fantastic game of football where two good sides made light of the conditions. Derg played quality football, excellent teamwork and structure, with full commitment.

At home 13 Major girls went down 1-3 to Moneygall. Harsh result following an excellent team performance. Isobel Larkin scored for Derg and Sarah Dunne was excellent in goals.

Some tight results in the boys game. U15B boys were unfortunate to be pipped 5-4 away to Birdhill. An excellent team performance is some consolation despite the result.

U13A had a tough day at the office, going down 0-3 to Arra Rovers. Some days we win, some days we learn... U11 boys had a cracking game v Silvermines but were pipped 2-3. More results and updates to follow. Now, time to dry off!
