At Lough Derg FC we are committed to developing a life long love of the game, from formative first steps at under 6 level to golden oldies / past masters kicking ball well into their over 35s and beyond.

We are a community club of 488 members and growing, serving the football interests of young and not so young footballers from South East Clare and North West Tipperary. We cater for boys and girls and adults from age 5 upwards. Our playing facilities are based in Clarisford Park, Killaloe.

We run an academy for the under 6s through to under 11 where they will learn the game in a fun, safe and friendly and environment. They will train weekly and participate in blitzes, tournaments and challenge games where the focus is on skill development, enjoyment and learning the game.

We enter competitive league teams from u12 upwards into the North Tipperary School Childrens Football League (NTSFL) and the North Tipperary and District League (NTDL). We facilitate participation across all levels. As the biggest club in the NTSFL we have A teams, B teams and where player numbers permit C teams participating across the age groups and divisions ensuring all our members have the greatest opportunity to play at the level that best suits their ability and development needs. We participate in local leagues, cups and national cups as well as entering tournaments and competitions around Ireland and over seas.

All our coaches and volunteers are Garda vetted and trained in child protection. We operate a coaching pathway to ensure our coaches are fully trained to deliver the best coaching experience for our members.

We aim to be the best we can be as a club, teams and individuals and support our players pursuing player development pathways and representative honours on League ETP programmes, Regional Centers of Excellence, League of Ireland and National squads. In the 2019 season 22 of our players have been selected for representative honours including Kennedy Cup and Gaynor Cup squads and three of our players have been selected to play League of Ireland with Limerick FC. Wherever their footballing careers take them we hope we have played a roll in developing in them a life long love of the game.
