SATURDAY SUMMARY 13TH APRIL.

Plenty of cup action on Friday Night Football and Saturday. In a Clarisford Cracker on Friday night, the 12As overcame BT Harps on penalties after a titanic struggle, with keeper Shane Conroy being the hero of the hour with a hattrick of penalty saves. And in Killavilla the 14As put in a 6 star performance to overcome a gutsy Killavilla B.

In the girls u17 Cup a Derg team with only 7 players enjoyed a sporting run out against a strong BT Harps side. It would have been a shame not to have the game on a sunny spring Saturday.

In the Derg Derby u16 cup, Derg "A" were pushed hard by Derg "B" before running out 2-0 winners with goals from Eoghan Heffernan and Guy Vigurs. Kudos to the "Bs" for a gutsy performance.

And over in Silvermines the 13A squad put in a fine performance to overcome Silvermines 2-7 with a hat trick from Julian Heaney, a brace from Callum Foley and goals from Charlie Grace and Adam Nolan.

Performance of the day might sit with the girls u11s who you need off their first season with and end of season blitz in Killavilla. This squad have improved steadily all season and today recorded their 1st win, plus a couple of draws and a couple of narrow defeats.

Plenty of midweek football to come, plus the all important training days for Tribe Trials, the club fundraiser that means grassroots magic happens week after week.
