Saturday Summary Lough Derg FC 20th October.

Plenty of lovely football on a fine Autumn Saturday. Under 13As got the ball rolling in the 10 o'clock kick off and hit top gear to record a fine 5 - 0 win v Killavilla. Next up were 15Bs and they played fine football v Holycross and got the job done with a super 4 nil win.

Meanwhile over in Ballinree the 15As put in an excellent performance against Ballymackey to record a 6 nil win. Back at Clarisford the 15Cs hosted Killavilla B and with a number of players unavailable went down 2 - 5.

On the girls side the 14s and 17s had a double header in Derryleigh v Newport AFC. Newport took both ties 6 - 1 and 6 - 2. However Derg pride was restored in style in the 2:30 game back in Clarisford where the Derg u12 girls beat a fine Newport squad 5 -0 in a cracking game of football. This squad in particular is making massive improvements on the training ground and it was great to see them earn a win on Clarisford Park.

Other results still to come but all in all seems like another super Saturday of grass roots magic.
